It happened. For the first time since I arrived, I experienced a real shiver. It was brief, yes, but a shiver nonetheless. Upon ascending from the ocean water this cloudy evening, my skin somehow felt cold enough to elicit a natural response to warm up my body, so it shivered, once!
Shivering is not one of those things that I thought I would take for granted. But it is hotter than a stuffy upstairs room on Mercury sometimes, and even the ocean reef water is like a hot tub.
Moral of the story, be thankful when you shiver. Some people never get to, at least when you live on Kosrae.
Peace from the palms!
